Standard Laboratory Reconstitution Protocol
Remove the plastic flip-top caps from both the peptide vial and the bacteriostatic water vial. Swab both rubber septums with a sterile 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe and let dry completely.
Draw the calculated volume of BAC water (e.g. 2.0 mL). Insert the needle into the peptide vial at a 45-degree angle, aiming the stream slowly against the glass wall rather than directly onto the lyophilized cake.
Peptide peptide bonds are delicate and susceptible to mechanical shear. Swirl the vial in a slow circular motion until completely dissolved. Never shake vigorously. The solution should become crystal-clear.
Once reconstituted, peptides must be stored refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C (36°F–46°F), shielded from light. Properly reconstituted peptides typically remain stable for 3 to 6 weeks.
